The village was named after early settler Samuel N. Cammack, who moved to the area in 1883. Cammack was known for his kind and generous nature, owned a road that connected the surrounding neighborhoods to the village, and often donated money to the poor.  His legacy continues to live on in the town today. Cammack Village is a tight-knit community known for its strong sense of community, hard work, and commitment to helping each other.
